Up for sale is a very unique Granada. It's a 1978 and it is a 2 door, 302 V8, factory 4 speed car. The outside bears its original green paint and white vinyl half top, and the inside is green vinyl. The interior is in very good condition but there are are a couple very small splits on the bottom half of the front seat just starting and the top half has a little cracking on the corner by the window where it got too much sun exposure. The steering wheel is cracked in one place and finally the windshield wiper switch is cracked (but still works) and should be repaired or replaced. Otherwise the interior is in great shape and the colors are vibrant. This car is VERY green and it just screams 70's. I cannot find ANY rust through on this car only very small areas of surface rust mainly at the bottom of the car (rock chips in the paint and such). The car has some little dents and dings along the side but the only damage that will need attention is the rear right corner. The car hit something there and the dent has been worked out pretty well but needs to be worked over a little more before paint. The accident also damaged the rear bumper and the tail light housings should be replaced because they are cracked. one cracked from the accident, the other split on its own. The most unique thing about this car is that it was factory equipped with a 302cid engine and a four speed manual transmission. It has an overdrive transmission so the car can cruise on the highway at 70mph without a problem while getting great gas mileage (20mpg at least on the highway). The car has hardly any options. It has manual steering, am radio, no air conditioning from the factory, but it does have rear defrost (works well) and power brakes (discs up front drums in the back). The lights all work, so does the windshield washer. The car only has 80,000 miles on it and it doesn't use oil or leak. I have a clear Kansas title for the car waiting to be signed over. It does need some things. This car desperately needs tires, and new windshield wipers. Also, the engine runs a little rough and I am not sure why. It doesn't make any weird noises or smoke it just doesn't run smooth. The car is definitely drivable though and it is not slow like the typical late 70's economy cruiser. The car has a lot of new parts on it including; new plugs and wires, new air filter, new belts, new water pump, new air injection pump, new vacuum lines, rebuilt carburetor, and lots of other little things. This is a good looking old car with some very interesting options, You will be hard pressed to find another one like it if this is the type of car you are looking for. Or if you just want a fuel efficient old cruiser that is out of the ordinary this is the car for you. Bring it to car shows and hear the people say "What do you mean it has a four speed? It's a Granada, they were all automatic!" I have had a lot of interesting conversations with people because of this car and received a lot of compliments about it.
