Converts from SUV to pick-up truck Lots of power, tows well, runs great, reliable! Please read the description fully and ensure that you can meet the obligations of this auction before bidding. This truck is less than 20 years old and it has not been Maryland State Inspected, therefore it can only be sold to a non-Maryland resident. As is stated above, this is a NO RESERVE auction for a 2004 GMC Envoy XUV. This is a great vehicle that we kept for use at the dealership through the winter snows, and for a few general hauling / towing jobs. It performed beautifully in the snow, but now winter is over and we are going to replace it with a full-sized pick-up truck, so we are putting it up for sale. This Envoy was the full package when it was new. It has GM’s 5.3L Vortec V8 instead of the standard 6-cylinder, is selectable between 2WD, AWD, 4WD Hi, and 4WD Lo, has the alloy factory wheels, and factory hitch with the plug for a trailer with electric brakes. This is the XUV version, which means that it is similar to an Avalanche, except that the rear section has fixed sides and windows. It is one of the most practical vehicles that you could ever own. The rear door can open either to the side or down (tailgate style), and the roof over the rear section retracts at the press of a button to turn the SUV into a small pick-up truck. The rear section has a tough liner, anchor hooks, and a drainage system that allows you to wash it out. Alternately, you can load up the rear section and close the roof and rear window to keep the contents locked up and safe. In addition, the rear seats can flip forward and the rear partition can be folded down to create a 6-foot bed area for hauling. The 5.3L V8 runs great and has a surprising amount of power. It can tow a trailer or boat effortlessly. The engine does not smoke or overheat, and it has good oil pressure. The transmission shifts normally through all the gears, and the AWD / 4WD system works. The brakes are strong. The ride quality is amazing for a truck. You sit high up above traffic, but it does not feel “tippy.” The suspension is firm but smooth, and especially nice on the highway. Even my wife, who hates trucks and greatly disliked the 1995 Sierra we previously had, noted that this SUV was very nice to drive. The exterior of the Envoy has some imperfections, but overall, I would say it is in good shape for a 10 year old vehicle. The paint looks good, but has the typical odd ding or scratch that vehicles of this age typically get. There is no rust, the body is solid. There is a long, deep scratch along the lower driver’s side, and a mild bend in the running board there (pictured). This truck has the optional headlight washers. One problem that we have encountered is some sort of electrical short on the driver’s headlight. Sometimes it works normally, but other times it is dim or does not work at all. Similarly, the turn signal on that light cluster will also either work normally or will be dim and blink quickly. Often times hitting a bump in the road will change it from working to not working, or vice versa. Also, the sensor to open the tailgate may need to be replaced soon, as you sometimes have to press it 2 or 3 times to get it to release, and the tailgate lately has only been releasing to swing down, and not to the side. The grey interior of this truck is in great shape for the age, but the carpets need a good vacuuming. The headliner does not sag. The seats are in great shape and very comfortable. This truck seats 5, but will comfortably fit 4 adults. It has pretty much all of the options: power windows, mirrors, door locks, seats, and sunroof. Driver and passenger airbags, heated front seats, cruise control, climate controls that can be adjusted separately for the driver and passenger, OnStar capability, and built-in garage door openers. There is good overhead lighting at all 4 corners of the cab. The center stack has 3 12-volt plugs for accessories, and there is another 12-volt plug in the rear. The speedometer does not work, but all of the other gauges on the dash do work, and the wipers work too. The radio/CD player is currently locked because of some kind of security code, and apparently can only be unlocked by a Chevy / GMC dealer. This Envoy would make a good all around vehicle for anyone. It is extremely practical, and can meet the requirements of almost any household / yard-work / weekend task. In my opinion, this SUV / truck is in very good condition for its age and mileage. That is my subjective opinion, so please read the description fully, examine the supersized pictures and come see / drive it in person so that you can form your own opinion before bidding. I welcome bidders to come check out this Envoy and test drive it, just please give me at least 24 hours notice that you want to come so that I can adjust my busy schedule. I am selling this on behalf of my father because he does not use the internet. This Envoy is owned by his small, used car dealership. Since it is owned by a dealership, the buyer has the option of getting a 2-month temp tag, so that he or she can legally drive it home. This truck is less than 20 years old, and has not been Maryland State Inspected, therefore it cannot be sold to a Maryland resident. If you are a Maryland resident, please do not bid on this auction. PLEASE READ: This truck is less than 20 years old, and is not MD State Inspected, so it can only be sold to a non-Maryland resident. Payment is to be made in cash. Paypal and Bank Transfers are not cash, cash is physical, paper money. If you are a long-distance buyer, ensure that you have someone that can come in person with the payment and to sign for / collect the titlework. A $100 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction's end. This can be paid through Paypal. The remainder is to be paid in cash at the time of pick-up. This car is sold AS IS, with NO WARRANTY. Please examine the supersized photos, and contact me if you have any questions. Serious bidders are welcome to come see the car, just give me notice ahead of time so I can adjust my schedule. Payment is to be made in CASH at pick-up. Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The car must be picked up within 1 week of the end of the auction.
