I am helping a friend sell his 924. He has had it for about eight years and put alot of money in it the last five. It has approxamatly 600 miles on a complete rebuild. He is getting ready to retire and head north to alaska and does not want to take it with him. It runs and drives but still needs some fine tuning and finishing touches. Seats and carpet are very clean, engine compartment is spotless. He relizes he will not get the money he spent on it but at this time needs to send it off to a new home, so its going no minimum bid no reserve. It is the buyers responsibilty to set up shipping or pick it up. We will not deliver. the following info is from the owner. 1979 Porsche 924 project car Rebuilt engine with less than 600 miles on it. Less than 600 miles on: Alternator Battery Water pump Fuel pump Belts Hoses Tires Muffler and exhaust pipe Shocks Struts Brake shoes Brake pads Carpet Windshield Paint Radiator has been dipped, pressure tested and painted Rough starting but is a good running car. Paint is good but could use a little more body work to cover small dings. Headlights need adjusting. Interior needs work on side panels behind front seat. On Apr-12-14 at 23:47:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I was just talking to the owner about the engine in this car. This was not a back yard overhaul. The work was done by a very reputable local machine/auto shop. The new lifters alone set him back 800.00. He said he had about 8000.00 in receipts for everything he has bought over the past 5 years. Unfortunatly they were accidently thrown out but you can tell by looking at the engine bay there was no expense spared.
