Celebrate life this spring and summer in this beautiful 1947 Plymouth Special Deluxe P15 convertible! It is a wonderful classic, that my wife and I have enjoyed immensely for years. An all original car, touting one repaint to the beautiful original color, #6292 Marine Blue. A two stage paint, with a nice panel fit and finish. Chrome and stainless look very good. This is a true west coast Arizona native, without rust issues and comes with a clear Arizona title. The frame, body mounts and floor panels are in great shape... No visual sign of ever having repairs. Classic convertibles of this solid original quality are very difficult to find. Especially, the rare Plymouth Special Deluxe. This is the one! The 218 CID L-Head is the original motor. It has been rebuilt. Very good oil pressure, runs smooth with no mechanical issues... Mated to the original rebuilt 3 speed manual transmission, which shifts flawlessly as it should. An electric fuel pump was installed near the gas tank and runs in harmony with the mechanical. It can be shut on/off with a switch under the original unmolested dash... Great to prevent cavitation and vapor lock. It never over heats within our desert climate, runs at 165* The interior seating is a durable leather, in very good shape. New carpeting was installed over aluminum heat shield/sound shield material with a Velcro panel for easy access to the brake fluid reservoir. All the gauges are clear and operate very well. The clock and radio look great however are not working. Glass rolls up and down easily and is in very good condition, windshield as well. New rubber door sill plates. All lights work including the turn signals. The Haartz canvas top is brand new (Looks spectacular!) with a new glass rear window. It is manual and is placed up and down with ease. Electrical wiring is in good shape. The tires are very good original bias wide whites. The hubcaps and beauty rings have the wonderful original look.The front suspension is nice and tight as it should be and the car drives straight with no issues. Master cylinder and brakes lines hard and soft are new. Brake cylinders have been rebuilt and pads are new. The radiator core is brand new, hoses, clamps etc. New coolant and 160* thermostat. It has a heater box that is in good shape, however, never used in our climate. In summary, as we go forward enjoying our retirement years, we'll be periodically selling some of our most cherished classics within our collection. International bidders are welcome. No trades please, we're downsizing. Our cars are driven regularly as they should be and in very good mechanical condition. I will be attentive to a transporters schedule and help in any way possible.
