Vehicle Detail
Hello - You're looking at a fully loaded 2005 BMW 330ci coupe. I am fairly certain this car came with every available option from the factory. Heated seats, spoiler, xenon headlights and LED/clear lens brake lights and turn indicators, sport package, plus tasteful upgrades including OEM M3 rims and a SUPREME Kenwood sound system. I will try and point out as many details (good and bad) as possible. History - According to Car Fax, The first owner purchased the car in Charlotte NC, The second owner purchased the car and licensed it in Miami, FL. It was traded in at the dealer where I purchased the car. The second owner added the stereo and 19" BMW OEM M3 rims. I have several photos of the car when I purchased it. I believe it was the 2nd owner that had an accident with the car. He slid through a stop sign on wet pavement into the car in front. Fortunately the damage was very minor, no airbag deployment, and was driven away from the accident. I have photos of the accident from the dealer when I had questioned the accident. I am the 3rd owner acquiring the car 7/2012. Upgrades - The car has a couple of taseful upgrades, but is fully stock regarding the motor (no aftermarket air cleaner, or performance chip upgrades, or suspension mods of any kind that I am aware of). The upgrades include tinted glass... no DIY kits, this was professionally installed 3M tinting with no bubbles or peeling. Second was the 18" OEM BMW M3 rims. I purchased them to replace the rims that came on the car when I bought it (19" M3 clone rims that had a lot of road rash). The current rims are 18" x 8" and were purchased new in 2012 and are a correct option for M3 cars this year. The Kenwood stereo flip screen features DVD player, Siris, Ipod plug-in, Optional Nav, Bluetooth, etc. The system was built right with 2 Kenwood amps that drive the speakers and twin MTX sub woofers. It sounds incredible!!! The stereo, amp, and speakers were $4500 new, and the tires and OEM M3 rims were just under $2600. Mechanically - This car is sound, and a comfortable daily driver. There are no fluid leaks of any kind, rattles, funny smells, or noises. The car shifts smoothly through all 6 gears, handles and performs exactly as BMW intended. All buttons, gauges, dials, and lights work as they should. Air is ice cold, heat and heated seats are blazing hot! I used ONLY full synthetic oil and premium gas - every time. Tires are BRAND NEW and have less than 2000 miles on them. Also completed a 4-wheel alignment and balance. I have replaced the fuel pump (which are notorious for failing around 125K on most e46 models). There was a slow leak with the plastic windshield washer tank, so that was replaced. All parts during my ownership have been BMW OEM parts. While I don't have paperwork, the dealer where I purchased the car said he replaced the clutch and that was the reason the 2nd owner traded it in. There is 1 warning light on which indicates low tire pressure, but the tires are OK, just a warning pressure sensor needs reset or replaced. Due to the massive amps for the stereo, there is no spare tire for the car. Also, I do not have the original rims, or original stereo. Exterior - This has been a southern car prior to my ownership, and I have been able to store the car both winters I've owned it, so it has never seen salt. The paint is shiny but has a couple very minor blemishes here and there. You'll also find a few light scrapes on the edge of the rims, see photos. The chrome trim around the windows shows some water spots that might be able to be buffed out...I haven't tried. Finally, the weatherstrip / trim piece at the bottom of the windshield has begun to weather from the Florida sun. Otherwise, the body panels are straight, free of dings, and dents. The car looks great and gets compliments at every fill-up. Interior - This is a smoke-free car with a beautiful black leather interior. It includes silver trim in place of the typical wood grain that really highlights the exterior color. There is a slight wear mark on the drivers seat, see photo, but only the black color is missing - no damage to the stitching, rips, or tears. The passenger seat, and rear seats look brand new. The carpet is good with no unusual wear and includes 4 floor mats. No cracks in dash, door panels, or loose/missing misc trim pieces. There is an issue with the headliner fabric on the rear B pillars. Both are loose and need re-glued. I didn't notice them until I shot the photos for this posting. There is also loose fabric near the passenger side door speaker that will need re-glued. Again, I blame the Florida sun. Overall - This is a great car owned by a BMW enthusiast and free of aftermarket engine performance modifications. It has not been abused, or pushed at the local track. It runs, drives and performs to the level that lands the BMW 3-series coupe on the car and driver top 10 every single year. This is the last year of the E46 body style, and nearly impossible to find with this many factory options and in this condition. Selling this car to purchase my 4th 3-series, they just keep getting better! Purchase - I also have the car listed locally, so I may elect to end the auction early. I have set the reserve price exactly half way in between retail and trade-in value making this a good value for all parties. I am not interested in low offers because the car is worthy of top dollar, you will not be disappointed. I am requesting the lucky high bidder have no less than a feedback score of 10, or please contact me at 330.421.1510 before bidding. A $500 deposit via PayPal is due immediately after the auction closes, and the balance in cash or wire transfer only (no checks). I have a clean title in hand ready for the new owner. You can call to arrange a test drive or inspection service offered by independent company. I am 20 minutes from the Cleveland Airport, and can pick you up if you'd like to drive the car home. I use a shipping service for my main business and will be happy to assist with shipping arrangements. Good luck to all bidders!
