We've closed our egg farm business and have our Chevy W4500 refrigerated truck for sale. It has 21,455 miles on it and has been kept in a garage year around. The cab is manufactured by Isuzu but the gas EFI V8, automatic transmission and entire drive train is Chevrolet. It has a Jack Frost CMF refrigerator/freezer box on it measuring 12 ft x 7 ft with a thermostatic control from -20 F to any setting you desire for storage and delivery. This has proven to be a very efficient system as it does not run constantly, it freezes up the massive cold plates to the desired holding temp and cycles only as the temp drops below the setting. We're the second owners. The first owner sold it back to General Motors under the lemon law buyback stating it was blowing a fuse causing a no start condition. GM performed extensive testing, put several hundred miles on it and never could get the problem to repeat. We bought it like new and have put most of the 21,455 miles on it without a single problem in 9 years. We suspected that the previous owner was simply gaming the buyback program trying to get out from under the $50k debt he incurred on the truck and box combined due to a failed business. It has AC, PS, PB, Power windows, Power Locks, AM FM CD player, tilt wheel, tinted windows, ABS, and is in really clean shape. Interior has no stains and is like new. It doesn't leak a drop of oil from anywhere and the tires are all Goodyears with at least 80-90% tread life remaining. We had it serviced by a local GM dealer and have all related paperwork. It is currently non-operational with CA DMV so there are no back fees and the title is in our name. We bought it for $30k and are liquidating all business assets. Nice aluminum shelving in box, diamond plate aluminum flooring, plastic curtains, thermostat, exterior thermometer on front of box...This is 100% compliant with any safe food handling requirements you may have from fresh to frozen. Even if you used it for stationary storage it's cheaper than a walk in unit.It has served us very well without fail and can be driven across the country at the turn of the key. Our brand on the doors are stickers that can easily be removed. Makes an ideal Farmer's Market truck. The cold box can be removed from the frame and used as a stand alone walk in cooler/freezer and the truck can be fitted with a dump bed, utility box or box van.
