Vehicle Detail

In this auction we have a 1969 CZ 250 side pipe MX dirtbike. As you can see in the photos, it is in a nice used condition with some standout details I will describe below. The motorcycle starts easily and runs great (see video here). The clutch and transmission work well. The bike also has an aftermarket upgrade GEM reed kit with the original Jikov carburetor. This has new replacement fiberglass fenders and number plates (as shown in the photos), and also a new frame ID tag to replace the one that's missing – ideal for purists and restoration experts. One other item of note, the previous owner had discussed how the bottom end had been rebuilt before we bought this. We haven't looked inside the motor, but since it does run so well we never really felt compelled to investigate his claims. This is a great bike for restoration or, with some minor detail work by a real enthusiast, a vintage racer. Please note, this does not and has not ever had a speedometer so there is no way to know its real mileage. Also, this is being sold with a bill of sale from the owner -- it was never titled since it was never going to be used on the road. Please let me know if you have any questions. The only real concerns, aside from very superficial rust in some spots, is the two small dents in the original paint tank. It has one dent on the front left side from the fork tubes and one other small dent a few inches behind that. The front rim is also slightly bent. It is rideable, but in the interest of disclosure we wanted to give you these details. Everything else is as shown in the photos, but please feel free to contact us with any questions. Since this is an older motorcycle, and there are some details you may wish to know about, please feel free to contact me by phone at 740.547.6567. This machine is also available for sale locally, so we reserve the right to end the auction at any time. This motorcycle is a part of a 20 plus motorcycle collection. I will be auctioning off different bikes every couple weeks so you may wish to follow my auctions. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me. Shipping, returns, and payment – Shipping is to be arranged by the buyer. You can have a freight company pick it up or you can pick it up in person. Other options will need to be discussed ahead of time. I will accept bids from people outside of the United States. I require a non-refundable Paypal deposit of $200 within 48 hours of the close of the auction. If you bid on this, please be serious about your intention to buy. The final payment will be accepted as cash upon pickup or through a verified payment method. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions prior to bidding. Since we are dealing with vintage motorcycles, you are purchasing the bike as is with no warranty and no returns accepted at this time. Please see my feedback, however, and feel comfortable that you are getting what you are being shown as it was described. Again, if you have any questions or concerns prior to bidding please feel free to ask and I will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you for your attention!
