Up for auction is a 1950 Chevy 3100 pickup truck. I was gifted this truck from my uncle Sal who was the second owner, he bought it 15 years ago and has maintained it greatly over the years. As you can see from the picture the paint is incredible. I don't know a lot about the mechanicals (I'm a girl) but I have a few friends who are mechanics who told me all about the truck. My uncle put a new chevy 350 engine in it 6 years ago and a 700r4 automatic transmission. The truck runs good, but its to hard for me to drive cause it has no power brakes and no power steering. I have driven it a few times and it turns heads whenever I pull it out. I was asked to put it in a parade last year and it got lots of accolades. I don't want to sell it but I am moving into an apartment and I also need to get a better car. I do know how valuable this truck is and this is one of the cleanest 50's truck I've ever seen outside of car shows. Headlights, horn and windsheild wipers all work perfectly. I ordered new door panels, door and window cranks as well as a new headliner which will all be installed before auction ends. The radio does work but the speaker doesn't work anymore. The seat has a couple small tears in it but nothing bad. The windsheid and back glass look perfect but the door glass is a little discoloring at the top and the passenger window has a crack in it. The top bar on the grill has a little chrome missing. The truck is 100% rust free. The wheels and tires are brand new and cost me $1200 and aren't even a month old. The suspension is all stock except the rear end was changed to accommodate the new engine and transmission install. Last but not least it was converted from the 6 volt system to a 12 volt and it the HEI ignition. I don't really know what else to add so please ask questions and I will gladly answer them and the things I don't know i can have my friend answer address them he helped me write this description.
