Vehicle Detail
Up for auction or buy it now is a 1960 F100 longbed pickup, originally a North Carolina truck. Details:Engine is the 223 cid 6 cyl.- the original engine, that has been rebuilt- rings bearings and head- but never run. Rebuild kit for carb (unopened) included.Tranny is the 3 speed column shift, and clutch is good.Brakes have been completely reworked, including new lines and hoses.Radiator offered with truck has been recored. It is not original, but can be made to fit with little effort.Frame looks very good, not pitted or scaly.Core support has a slight dent in it, but is very solid.Inner fenders are nice, most of grille is also exceptional and quite straight. Drivers side of grille that surrounds headlight assembly has been crunched at some point, so replacement may be warranted. All front end parts and lights are included as shown, as well as bumpers.Front fenders are dented but still lots of metal to work with. The hood is in nice shape. As stated, glass is all broken.Doors are very nice for this year and model, without the usual rust on the bottoms.Cab floor has been patched slightly, but is worthy of repair. Door pillars are quite good, with some limited rust (see pix)- overall way better than you would usually find. Inner steps have been puttied, but not excessively and rocker panels are quite solid as shown. Back corners of cab have slight rust, but not beyond redemption (see pix).No seat, no gas tank with this truck. The sides of the box have some putty in them, but apparently not used to patch rust.Floor of box is rusted in the front, but otherwise solid and not overly dented.Back corners of box have both had patch panels applied.Tailgate is not much to get excited about, with rust and dents as shown.Pictures show what is included in this auction- if you don't see something that you think should be there, ask me. This is a very restorable truck
