I present for your consideration my 1962 Chevy 1/2 ton panel Rat Rod. I if your are a true rat rod lover then this ride is done and ready for the upcoming season, if not then this is about 80% done the only work left is the body and paint. As you can see in the photos the rear panels are in rough but doable shape and there are various bumps and bruises that need to be smoothed. This truck looks and sounds the part, low, loud and nasty. I have put a boatload of new parts on this truck, listed below in no particular order: Front fendersradiator support3 core aluminum radiator2.5" drop spindleswiring harnessfuel tank and pickupu-jointsall brake shoes and padsall brake plumbingheaders and exhaust with flowmaster mufflersLokar 32" shifterradio c/d playerwindshield and sealbatterysill plates I did install a 63 grille as I didnt like the looks of the 62 grille. Now having stated the above be aware that was at the time of build and there has been about 5000 miles of use since then. Power is supplied by a good used .040 over 400 SBC outfitted with forged pistons, a nice sounding cam( sorry cant remember the specs), World Product heads and an Edelbrock intake and carb. The power is fed into a 700R4 that shifts as it should. The front end was lowered 2.5" using new spindles and converted to power disk brakes and power steering. Inside I have installed a nice pair of bucket seats and a handmade center console housing the Lokar double bend 32" shifter as well as the four stereo speakers, as I didn't want to cut up the doors to install them. As far as rust out this truck is very solid for its age, the only rust through is the rear lower quarters, a small amount on the bottom of the door outer skins. The floors and rockers are in amazing condition, it also sports its original wood floor in the back. It could use an better hood as well, if you like them smooth and shiney. I have driven this for about a year and it has served me well but its time to move on to the next one so this has to go. I have clean paperwork for this and ready for the new owners name. Please ask any questions you may have before bidding, truck must be paid for within 7 days of auction end and I can hold the truck for as long as necessary for pickup. This truck runs and drives just fine so if you like it can be driven home instead of trailered but that is up to the new owners disgression.
