Vehicle Detail
This is an Investment Grade Tri Power Corvette. With only 46,000 original miles the car received a Full Nut & Bolt Restoration that was completed in 2011. This is an All Numbers Matching car... all the way down to the 3 carburetors. It has the Factory optioned L71 435 Horse Power Engine with 4.11:1 rear axle ratio. It is screamin' fast! The paint is show quality "Tangelo Pearl". Everyone comments on how they like the color. It has won "Best Paint" and "Best of Show" this past 2013 Season. You have your choice of Wheels....The 17" American Racing Wheels that are on the car now or the Factory Steel Rally Wheels with Center Caps & Trim Rings that are in excellent condition. The car has had Vintage Air added at a cost of $4k. New Side Pipes added that were over $2k. MSD Ignition added at $2k. Ceramic "427" Valve Covers added at $1k. Side Louver Trim added at $200. The bumpers were re-chromed and are perfect. Glass windshield is new. And all the Interior is all new. The Harley Badge on the hood is removable. It is only been attached with double sided tape. The car is mechanically PERFECT! It starts, idles, shifts, drives and stops as new. The car is fitted with an aluminum radiator that keeps it running cool even in the hottest summer weather. The distinctive sound of a 60's Big Block 427 with solid lifters coming around the corner lets everyone know your living the "American Dream". All Funds must clear the bank before the car leaves my garage. On Mar-27-14 at 08:27:17 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had multiple offers to end the auction early. But, I have declined. I will be letting this auction run its course. Also, I have had questions concerning the cost of insurance and the car's value. I am paying $464 per year through Hagerty. The value of these cars depend upon several factors: Originality and Condition. In this case the car has been "Restored". With that said, it is no longer 100% ORIGINAL. It has had a NUT & BOLT RESTORATION which means that every part was removed, cleaned (replaced with OEM parts if needed) and put back together. The Drive Train which includes the 427 Engine and all components, Transmission and Rear End are all NUMBERS MATCHING to this car. That means that this car still has it's FACTORY drive train although some parts may have been reconditioned...they are ORIGINAL! So when looking at Originality...it may not have it's original Paint, but it is original where it counts! As far as Condition, it has had a high end restoration in 2011. The car looks and drives like NEW! The corvette market right now is favorable to this type of car. Custom Corvettes are IN. And this car could be considered a "mild" custom because of it's Custom Paint, and a few added features.
