Here we have a great vintage 1980 Honda CX500 Custom, the bike is all original with only 8,749 Original Miles. This is a One Owner bike with a Clear Title in hand. The bike has been placed on non-op for all these years, it was last ridden in 1984 and has been sitting in a shed since then. I checked with DMV and they said it would cost $84 to put her back on the road. This bike has never had a repaint or a re-chroming, it has never fallen over either. The bike shifts gears fine and could be ridden as is. This bike comes with the original title and has the original tool kit. A helmet case comes with the bike and is mounted on a bigger luggage rack, all of these pieces came from the Honda Dealership. The fairing is from Vetter, I kept as many pieces as I could find so that you could have a good molding of the original to replace properly. As you can see from the pictures the tank has been scratched but its not a deep hit and the tank is not dented. Before the bike was stored the oil was changed and it was changed about 8 years ago. The tires have some cracking but not too bad and the tires can still be used, according to the original owner they are the original tires it was sitting on the main stand all these years. The seat has no tears in it either, its in great shape. The carbs were not formally cleaned out nor were they rebuilt, the bike did fire up with no issues once it had gas back in the tank. The bike does need the choke opened a little when idling, which means it could do with a cleaning but doesn't need it. This could go away with more use of the bike. The battery is brand new. For being 100% original and 34 years old, this bike is in immaculate condition. There is very little that is needed on the bike. But, it would make a great cruiser or addition to any collection. A lot of people are turning these into Cafe Racers but are using parts bike and doing complete rebuilds. This bike is ready to go now.
