Where to start... 2009 22' Twin Vee Center Console Catamaran (Ocean Cat Model) with twin 2007 four stroke 115hp Suzuki motors. If you are looking at this boat, you probably already know about the qualities of owning a catamaran for offshore/rougher water use. Heres a typical day on the water with this beast of a cat... "Lets say you go decide to go out and catch some fish in 3-4 foot seas...nothing crazy, but, a typical day offshore. At the dock, you turn the key to the Suzukis and barely know if they started..quiet, silky, smooth. Something like an unclassified military space ship.. You pull out into the inlet and notice the rollers that used to rock your boat are seemingly uneventful now...Pretty cool, you think? Aint seen nothing yet... You head out 10-20 miles listening to classic rock and cut the motors while setting up the fishing machine... Bob n ROLL...Bob n ROLL...Bob n ROLL (Sound familiar?) You USED TO sit rocking in seas that would make the monohull bob and roll until the first unlucky guy "fed the fish"... Well you can look forward to smoother rocking as you cast out and wait for the big one to bite. You walk around unobstructed practicing the art of luring in a shiny guy who swallows your expensive bait.. Great day so far... BAM! Line on!!...after a good fight, you win and you drop said "bait-taker" into the coolers, of which there are plenty. After 3-4 hours of taking pictures, telling stories and having enough fish to feed a small village, you crank the buttery ignition and know that there's Peace of mind captaining this bad boy. Safety?...oh yeah. Shes got it. Unsinkable foam filled hull, redundant propulsion system (2 separate systems- one for each motor) While heading back, you notice that your legs arent as tired from the pounding and that this boat seemingly glides and cuts through the water. Magical, really. You approach the inlet that used to challenge you on days where the afternoon winds would kick up...You smile knowing that 4-5 foot seas in that creepy inlet feel like 2-3ft bay chop. You arrive fresh and excited that fishing ends in a day of fun rather than fatigue. Match that with 115hp Suzuki fuel efficiency (5 miles per gallon@ cruise) and ultra quiet performance and you can whisper over your Iphone about how BIG your catch is to your trophy wife on your way home...
