1975 CB400F Frame # CB400F-1024894 Engine # CB400FE-1024942 Early Build Date of 2/75 Only 4300 Miles This Honda was found locally in a converted airplane hanger/shop. It was in cold but dry storage for many years. It starts easily on the kicker, the start button on the handle bar needs repair....a very common issue on the Honda fours. It will idle all day and revs well on the stand, but fuel comes out of the overflow tubes from time to time and the bike felt down on power on the very short ride I took it on ( its a horrible winter here in NH!). The paint and chrome shine bright and the bike look great. A previous owner buffed the tank to remove a layer of overspray and burned through the paint in a few areas. Most notably on the right side of the tank. There are a few dings on the original paint tank, most notably on the left side. Very shallow and may be able to be removed by paintless dent removal company. The engine paint looks to have been touched up at some point but looks great. The bike has a new battery. The iconic factory four into one exhaust header looks good with a few minor dings on the underside. The original muffler is rotted and will need replacing. The headlight and a few indicator lights are out. I bled the front brakes and they were great, then over the course of a few days became sticky, so that will need attention. The bike comes with a very old Massachusetts title that has been filled out already on the back from a previous sale many years ago. Overall this little Honda looks the part of the factory cafe that it was meant to be. And with only 4300 miles it would make a great restoration project, or a fantastic rider with minimal work. Everyone that sees it says "wow, that bike looks great!". And of course this is a 39 year old motorcycle so there may be a few things I missed in my description , make sure to look closely at the photos and ask questions.
