Vehicle Detail
Up for Auction is a pair of Fiat 124 Pininfarina 2000 Spiders. The 1980 is a very good daily driver that runs good and is very responsive in both handling and throttle. The VIN # for the car is 124CS20161895 which is a none standard Vin as it was Manufactured prior to 1982.The car has the twin cam engine with an automatic trans that shifts very well. The automatic trans is a very complimentary addition to the powerful twin cam engine. The engine runs very well without any unusual noises. The brakes stop straight without any noises. The tires are in fair condition. There are no unusual noises from the drive shaft or the rear end.The interior shows the usual amount of wear that goes with a 35 year old unrestored car.The paint and finish is also in fair condition. The cars both have very little rust and appear solid in floor pans and rockers. The doors open and close very well as do the windows. The tops on both cars are in fair condition with some fading and have a somewhat milky appearance on the rear windows..The car will need a few things including an ignition switch.Very good gas mileage also. We got the cars from an 86 year old gentleman that was using the 1980 as a daily driver. After putting more than a few miles on the car I can say that it is a pleasure to drive and will always put a smile on your face. While running your daily chores you will be tempted to take the long twisty road to the grocery instead of the most direct route. The 1982 is a complete parts car that a previous owner started the restoration and upon taking the interior abandon the project as is the case with many restorations. The parts car appears to be complete.I have not tried to start the engine but the engine and trans are still in the car.It too is an automatic. If you have any Questions please contact me and I will try to get the answers.Good luck bidding and Happy Motoring.
