Vehicle Detail
1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT VeloceThis a bare metal restoration of a 1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce stepnose chasis that has been painstakingly converted to a GTA Jr Group 3 body car. The original, numbers matching car is an italian market/delivery car that was imported to California in 1992. This Alfa was brought out of storage in early 2012 and restoration began. Restoration was completed in June 2013 and the car has been driven 1500 road miles and is fully sorted. This car was built for fast road/rally use with safety and reliability in mind. Many original parts were restored and used on this build. When this was not possible, Alfaholics and Classic Alfa parts were used to upgrade the car during restoration. A full list of parts and a detailed build sheet with invoices are available upon request. The chassis was taken down to bare metal and all rust remediated with stamped steel parts from Classic Alfa. GTAM flares were shaped and riveted into place. Custom Aluminum wheel arches were made to match the flares. Total car weight with original Alfa glass is 2100lbs. Some highlights of the restoration are the addition of a 2.0 Liter Nord motor built with 10.4:1 compression pistons, Carrillo rods, euro cams and intake manifold, 45 DCOE weber carburetors with GTA curved ram pipe set, Fast Road/Rally suspension setup with aluminum T-bar, Alfaholics FIA certified bolt-in roll cage, original reupholstered seats, FIA certified racing seats with 6 point harness system included with sale, 4.10 LSD rear differential and 15x8 Alfaholics GTAM wheels. To properly cool the hotrodded motor, an Alfaholics Aluminum GTA radiator and Oil cooler were added with proper Aluminum shrouds. Every part on this automobile has been restored or improved. The original numbers matching 1600 Veloce motor will also be sold with the car. This is one road friendly, fast and fun Alfa! I have driven this car on several road rallies and it is a blast. The car is currently being stored in a temperature controlled facility. PPIs are welcomed. I am selling this car to start another project.
