1978 Subaru Brat Truck-Nice! Up for sale is a really nice safari tan 78 Subaru Brat with only 63,550 miles on odometer. This Brat has the classic original body style and design that is sought after and a joy to own. This Brat is featured with the original 1.6L 4 Cylinder Subaru motor that runs great. 4 speed manual tranny shifts great though all gears including reverse. 4 wheel drive works great as it should and this Brat gets great gas mileage being a lightweight truck pulling 28-32mpg town/hwy. This Brat has spent most of its life in NC and has been well cared for and always adults owned. The interior is in great condition, the leather dash material is starting to peel up on the edges some and some cosmetic wear but overall nice. This would make a great daily driver or weekend warrior depending on what you plan to do with it. All the glass is in good condition and original to the truck. Headliner is good. Undercarriage is clean and solid, some surface rust and a few light rust repairs made in common areas within the last 5 years. This Brat features the classic rear facing jump seats with adjustable head rests. Roll bar/cage is removable with steel bolts/nuts at base. All lights, blinkers, gauges work as they should. Newer battery and maintained. Factory tow package. Spare tire included and factory mount in engine bay. I would suggest a brake tune up soon b/c it's grabbing a little in the rear, might be a wheel cylinder but would have it checked out for long distance trips. New spark plugs and air filter installed less than 3 months ago. Oil changed regularly as well as filter. Rear bumper is showing some wear.
