Vehicle Detail
2002 5 speed Bugeye WRXFull stage 4 with VF34 big turbo, 2nd owner, best friend was 1st owner so I've known this car since day one. Car has always been well maintained and always taken to dealership for maintenance and oil changes by the same original mechanic since it was bought in 2001. Car has around 130K miles on it but true mileage is unknown because gas gauge cluster stopped working 5 years ago and as a cheap fix I swapped the cluster out with lower mileage one that has a working gas gauge myself. Upgraded to Stage 4 by dealership at about 100K miles, its wicked fast, this is my 2nd car now so I have no time or $$ to put into it, most issues are listed below but please understand that I may have missed a few in all honesty but they are very minor, what's listed below is not all that was done during the process. I spent about $8K on upgrades and that includes little things like polyurethane motor mount bushings and short shifter bushings, stainless steel braided brake lines etc etc, all a part of upgrading to stage 4 the right way. Always run at 18psi, manual boost controller is in engine bay in case you ever wanted to take to a track or drag strip and turn the boost up and throw in some race gas. I daily drove this car for 8 years, no issues, a well maintained Subaru will last forever. Most of the issues on this car are easy quick fixes for a DIY'er. No matter what you get a wicked fast very reliable car with about 300 all wheel horsepower on 93 octane gas, gets descent gas mileage as well, tires are in great shape, Goodyear triple-treads, you wont even know you're in the snow with them. I tried to take pics of all damage to car, I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I am also clear about what damage there is to the car. Good:-Full stage 4- Including VF34 imported J-spec ball bearing turbo, (very quick to spool), STI pink injectors, Walbro 255 fuel pump, tuned with Ecutek flash at North Coast Subaru in Glen Cove, big top mount intercooler, dyno'd at 280 awhp on a heartbreak mustang dyno, so will be a lot more on a normal dyno, you get STI fast without STI cost or the added insurance that an STI will run you, this car is a total sleeper-Rear end received a face-lift with a 2005 bumper (its slightly scratched up as you can see in the pic) and taillights from 05 as well with an 06 wingless trunk with just SUBARU across it.-7" in-dash motorized hideaway touchscreen LCD (Clarion VRX755VD) head unit with built-in DVD player, 10 inch sub in trunk, 400 watt amp under seat-Rare Titanium STI shift knob-Rare Fujita cold air intake, this is supposedly the only air intake that you ever want to use with a WRX/STI-Sleeper exhaust, custom made straight-thru catless from turbo back, passes inspection, but not exiting through the usual 4 inch muffler like everyone does, I had a shop custom weld an STI muffler on, sounds perfect, not too loud to get attention of police but loud enough at full throttle and looks sweet-Interior looks new, for an 11 year old car thats hard to find Bad:-A/C stopped working, was going to remove to save weight but it is still currently installed but may need a recharge-Driver window wont roll up or down, its stuck in the up position so I never bothered to fix-Car could use a hood, current one is damaged due to a minor accident, nothing mechanical damaged in accident, purely cosmetic and most was fixed except for a few minor spots-Car is reaching the point where it will need new brakes and a clutch, it drives just fine but should be maintained soon, like I said this is my 2nd car and I cant afford to maintain it anymore-Had an issue with stock boost gauge, tried to put in a newer electronic boost gauge myself and its not wired properly but works ok-Car still has original stock suspension, started to plan suspension upgrade a few years ago but then got 2nd car and lost love for this one-Drivers door was keyed back in 2003, never bothered to fix not very noticeable Feel free to ask questions or make a reasonable offer and I will consider it but please understand that I worked very hard to get this car to the level its at and that costs big $$ and its already done for you to drive away in. The new owner will be very satisfied with the work and performance this car has to offer.
