Vehicle Detail
Having to re-list again because the guy who won the bid did not realize this color was not an option in 1978 and it was re-painted from red to the now opal-green during testoration. The only way you can tell is if you remove the firewall from the front trunk and look under the dash. He was looking to get a $20,000 car for $6400. PLEASE, if you have any questions please call me before bidding... NO RESERVE, MUST SELL... I have been diagnosed with glaucoma and I need money for treatment, this is the ONLY reason I am selling. Please only bid if you are going to buy and pick up. Up for sale is this very nice VW Superbeetle convertible. This is a very nice car but not a museum piece. It will get you alot of attention. I will describe this car as accurately as possible... The paint is a 8 out of 10 with only a couple of small imperfections. The interior has been refurbished and looks great. I would rate the interior an easy 8 out of 10. The custom cloth top was $3000 alone and fits like a glove. The stock seats are the original black and in great shape. The pictures show the new seat covers that were installed to match the topThe engine runs awesome and leaks no fluids at all. The floor pans are NEW, as is under the battery. The rails are straight and solid. The running boards are new, 90% of the rubber around the car is new, and the stock rims look fantastic. The engine was changed from the bothersome fuel injected version to the carb version for greater reliability. This car runs very strong. The tires have about 80% on them. As I stated this is not a museum piece but a very nice VW meant for cruising. The pictures of the car speak for themselves. There are a couple of things you could do to finish out the restoration... The spare tire is there but is flat, the trunk needs to be finished, and the front drivers seat needs a cable so it will lean forward when you pull the lever on the side. Also, there is a hairline crack on the windsheild which you won't really notice unless looking for it and the dash has about a 1 inch crack on it but again you would have to look for it to really see it. These things are not taking anything away from this gorgeous car though, just minor details you may want to address. As I stated before, please only bid if you intend to buy it. I hate to sell her already and I do not have time for abunch of BS. This is a truly no reserve sale so bid often and with confidence. I will assist in any shipping needs. No scammers please, I do not have the time or patience... Thanks, Joe Call me with ANY questions 803-431-4263 Please call me anytime if you have any concerns!
