Vehicle Detail

Fresh from Oklahoma farm, in Wake Forest NC now One owner for 47 years, LOW miles of 20,859 Original 283 V8 with powerpack heads, 4 speed on the floor, helper spring, ammeter, oil gauge Lights, signals, wipers, parking brake etc all work 100% original paint, original wood in bed with one hole where spare tires was mounted, as pictured Interior is all original except seat was recovered 10-15 years ago Big mirrors and big back bumper added at dealer originally Cigar box full of receipts and records in glove box Recent brake job and new shocks installed, drives great! Unmolested original. Look at the front bumper, tailgate and sides... very few dents or marks. The front window channel and rain lip is solid. Hard to find 100% original truck like this so you can restore completely... or just drive it! Needs: rockers, bottom fender caps, carb kit, cab corners and muffler. Some pictures are grainy as they are screenshot pictures. You'll also see pictures of my wife and I driving it around last weekend. Current NC tags. Clear NC title in hand. Don't have time to coordinate trucking company. Please come prepared to trailer it home yourself, or drive it with your own tag. On Dec-09-13 at 16:38:17 PST, seller added the following information:comes with spare passenger window since original had a crack, same year and coloring, frame in good shape. On Dec-10-13 at 08:21:25 PST, seller added the following information:A lot of good questions. Let me clarify on carb kit. I'm not a mechanic. It started fine in warm weather but wouldn't in the cold a few weeks ago. I had not used the choke before. I did pull the choke to get it to start and the cable stuck. So I took the air breather off and pushed it back. It ran fine all day and it sat idle in my driveway and at the dump for 30 minutes without issue. It does not smoke or chug or anything. It runs around town all day fine. Ran her up to 65 on the local highway with one finger on the wheel. Stops and steers straight. It does have hole in the muffler which only barks when you step on it. At idle it's quiet. With the cab corner rust holes, she gets "high" in the cab siting still so I kept the windows down and vents open. It's fine at speed but probably not good for you. It also may be running rich due to choke getting stuck which makes it worse. But yes, I would not hesitate to drive it somewhere. So maybe it doesn't need a carb kit, just the choke freed up and operating correctly. Hope that helps. On Dec-13-13 at 16:44:18 PST, seller added the following information:I added a few more pictures to answer some questions. The worse part of the truck is inside the cab, behind where the seatbelt anchors in the back corner of the cab. I'm guessing that's where the rear cabmount packed with mud and rotted. The picture of the hole is the passenger side. The driver's side is half that size but same spot. But look at the other frame pictures etc and you'll see how solid it is. Just needs the mud washed off.
