Vehicle Detail

1979 PONTIAC TRANS AM-NOCTURNE BLUE W/ T-TOPS This is a beautiful antique bird that I have had for about 3 years now, when I got it it needed a lot of work, it is now close to finished. It won't take much time to get her driving down the road again! This car has new paint, new aluminum OEM style radiator, new Interstate 75 battery, new plugs and wires, water hoses, battery cables, refinished snow-flake rims, a refinished interior, and tons of 'unicorn' parts that are so hard to find now. It is about 80% restored, and includes almost every part to finish the restoration (all parts I havn't installed are in the trunk or are listed below as needed). I was restoring it according to the VIN which says it originally had a Nocturne Blue exterior paint and a light blue interior with a 5 color blue/gold Firebird decals. This car was stripped down to bare sheet metal, primed, and repainted. There are some runs/bumps in the paint on the drivers side back quarter panel / door area that might come out with wet sanding if it bothers you, but overall the paint job looks very nice. It's a great color. It comes with all four of the fender flares. It has a Olds 6.6L V8 403 Motor that runs strong. I believe the odometer has around 66,000 miles on it, but who knows what the 'actual' mileage for the car or the motor are, it might have rolled around at 99,999. Has T-tops that don't leak though they definitely need new weather stripping. The motor was pulled, intake valley pan gasket was replaced, missing freeze plugs replaced, installed correct motor mounts, and oil pump screen. Also, replaced oil pan gaskets and new valve cover gaskets installed. The engine runs strong. The transmission will NOT engage in any gears except for drive which is why I am now selling it, because I know absolutely nothing about fixing a transmission. It may be the transmission linkeage, or the transmission itself I do not know. Since the car itself didn't run when I got it, I didn't know the transmission didn't work also. Other things I KNOW it needs that I have not yet purchased besides transmission work are, weather stripping, the front pontiac emblem, center wheel caps, exhaust, new lugs/nuts (seems some of the old ones are getting stripped out), interior locking mechanism on drivers side (old one might be repairable), inner and outer window sweeps, door panel fasteners, power steering line, headliner, headlight's aren't working (maybe dimmer switch, replaced headlight switch), and a trunk mat. Here is a list of parts it has/comes with and what has been done, : USED PARTS INSTALLED:CENTER CONSOLE FRONT FENDERS HOOD - (needs some work still, under-paint, reinforcement, and adjust hinges)RADIATOR CORE SUPPORTTIMING COVER BOLT KITBUMP SHIFTER BATTERY TRAY RADIATOR SHROUDDASH PANEL TRIMDASH BOARD NEW PARTS INSTALLED: BREATHER CAP - CHROME W/PVC SPARK PLUGS WIRES OIL & FILTER MARKER LIGHT BULBS & FOG LAMP BULBS DISTRIBUTOR CAP & ROTOR CARPET KIT CARPET TAR UNDERLAYMENT- SOUND DEADENERHEADLIGHT SWITCHCRANKCASE GASKETOIL PUMP FILTER- new installedDIPSTICK DOOR HANDLES FUEL PUMP TO CARB LINELOWER HOSE UPPER RADIATOR HOSEBATTERY- INTERSTATE Heavy Duty 75 MOTOR MOUNTS OIL FILL TUBE - CHROMEOIL PAN GASKET SETWATER PUMP OEM STYLERADIATOR SUPPORT BUSHINGTHERMOSTAT RADIATOR ALUMINUM w/ Plastic OEM STYLEVALVE COVER GASKETPASSENGER SIDE FLOOR PANCHROME VALVE COVERSWATER NECK -CHROME/BILLETCHROME BREATHERSERVICE MANUAL 1978SERVICE SUPPLEMENTAL 1979VALLEY PAN GASKETFREEZE PLUGS (replaced some)BATTERY CABLES ANTIFREEZE PARTS THAT COME WITH BUT NEED INSTALLED:HEADLIGHTS - HALOGEN (All 4 BRAND NEW)DOOR LOCK KIT (used)SAIL PANELS (used)SIDE MIRRORS SILL COVERS (used)KICK PANELS (used)HOOD HINGES- INSTALLED BUT NEED ADJUSTMENT (used)TRANS DUST COVER (used)FRONT AND REAR FENDER FLARES/SPOILERS (4 Pieces) I'm sure I am missing something, if you have any questions, please email me.
