This is a 1978 Macho T/A. This is car #28 of 202 built that year. The car runs and drives good but will need a complete restoration. These cars are very rare, only people with plenty of cash owned them when new. Their cost was almost double that of a regular Trans Am. This car has the beautiful, one year only color, Martinique Blue. It has Platinum Silver accent stripes and numbering. It has the Mecham installed Hurst Dual Gate Shifter. The major factory options include: - W72 Performance Package- WS6 Handling Package- Air Conditioning- Power Windows- Tilt Wheel- Custom Velour Interior The body of the car is very straight and virtually rust free. ( only small dings and very mild surface rust ) The trunk and floors are all good with only mild surface rust. The engine runs good and the transmission is tight and shifts very well. The brakes are soft but would be fine for shipping. All gauges appear to work as they should. The A.C. compressor is off the car but otherwise appears complete. ( I do have the compressor ) The engine is not the original, but is a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am 400. I also have a correct W72, X7 code engine block available but is not included at this time.
