I have for sale a 1957 Chevy 3100 Step Side pickup all steel body clear matching AZ title with 454 BBC mild built (currently about 400HP) and TH400 3 speed automatic transmission. Engine and transmission have less than 700 miles on them since previous owner built truck. Winters "non" quick change rear with 4.86 gears, Posi and Moser 31 Spline axle. Ladder bars and tubbed bed with new wood. 31X18.5x15 Mickey Thompson rear tires with approx 50% tread with crager rims all way around. Triumph p235/75R15 tires up front with very little wear. Factory straight front axle with new leaf springs and drum brakes added for vehicle to pass inspection on June 2013. Holley Carb and Intake ( not sure of CFM on Carb) Hooker cast iron headers. Chrome alternator and march engine bracket (chrome battery hold down included but not installed). New radiator hose and chrome fan cover. Frame in nice solid condition with excellent body/motor mounts (part of frame behind rear axle needs to be blasted because surface rust and repainted) . Turbo 400 Transmission 3 speed automatic with racing clutches 2800 stall convertor and Moroso oil pan. Hurst Pro Matic 2 floor shifter. Dual exhaust setup nice sounding with large pipes Auto meter gauges ( speedometer needs to be calibrated and new mechanical gear put in gauge for 4.86 gear rear end) gas gauge does not currently work ( will include new sending unit in box should solve issue) all other gauges operate fine. Tilt column with GT wheel manual steering (steering very tight and responsive). Gas pedal is currently a little loose and could use a replacement. Brakes operate perfectly even though they are 4 wheel drum brakes. Carpet and upholstery in good shape ( small tear in driver side seam of bench seat and some surface rust on frame of seat all springs in good shape). Original style gas tank behind rear seat. Power windows operate perfectly . All glass in excellent shape vent window frame needs re chroming or refinishing along with new seals around vent glass. Passenger side door pull has crack in cover over screws ( new replacement on order will include with purchase). Interior switches next to steering wheel operate electric fuel pump, exterior lights and dash lights ( all operate perfectly except rear dome light above rear small window) . Small crack in rear turn signal lense. Heater unit is installed on firewall but not operating or hooked up. The body is all steel and very solid and pass magnet test for bondo with all body panels and doors lining up very nice . Paint is in good condition some overspray and some bubbling on hood seam along firewall , passenger side fender and along door bottoms. Surface rust on hinge pockets the worst in drivers side pocket. Rust hole about size of nickel on passenger cab corner ( drivers side is in excellent condition). Paint cracking on tailgate (bondo used to "shave chevrolet from tailgate" and along seam where tubbing meets the side bed panels. Truck runs very strong and shifts very nice and no major leaks . The choke might need to be adjusted slightly so it can maintain better idle during cold startup. Gets up to speed fast with current gears and can cruise at 60 mph without going to high on rpm. Im just selling the truck because I want a 57 bel air that is done with a pro touring setup that I can take on longer trips. The previous owner had the truck for 20 years in PA always garage kept and never driven in bad weather. The prior owner did not give me any invoices for previous work done on vehicle. Not a show quality truck yet but with a little extra money not far off currently insured with state farm with replacement cost at 20k. Clean AZ Title in hand must receive full payment cleared before signing over title. $500 deposit by paypal must be made within 2 days of auction close. Rest of payment must be received within 7 days. Bench seat needs to be moved slightly back or bottom of seat upholstery needs to be done tighter the shifter knob when you ratchet into drive touches seat. Truck mileage exceeds mechanical limits on Title and will change slightly due to driving truck to work 15+ miles per day . No locks on the exterior door handles latches operate fine. Cigarette lighter in dash is in place but does not work. Glove box opens and latches fine but does not lock. Once warmed up it will startup right away.
