Vehicle Detail
We are listing this for a Good Friend of the family - This is a combined description from him and also from my observations. I drove the car and found it to be an average older car in the way it drove and felt. There are several New items and surly several items that would benefit from upgrades - But still the car is usable and fun to experience as is. This is a really nice Driver Quality Camaro. Just a Fun Saturday Night cruiser that you can jump into and have a good time. We bought it a few years ago after I retired just for my wife and I to have some fun weekends in. We looked in the Southwestern US specifically to find a solid body. We have decided that we really aren't using the car as much as we did when we first bought it, so we are going to sell it. We have probably close to $10,000 into this car, but we are not expecting to get all our money back that we invested in this fun classics. We are listing it here for what I think is a very Fair selling price with a very moderate reserve. If you consider what you would spend to find one and have it transported here yourself, you know this is a pretty good price. The interior is in fair condition as shown in the photos. Not perfect, but acceptable. Like the entire car, someone with a mechanical aptitude and time can improve it. The Drives seat slide has stopped working, I am not sure why. We simply don't have the time to devote to the car that it deserves, so hopefully someone that has a passion for these picks it up and has fun with it!! This car has a 305 with a 4bl. Engine and is believed to be original, but I did not do any research to prove this. Runs nice, doesn't use oil or smoke. Miles are correct at 107k. Paint was done several years ago. Again, just driver quality. It shines up nicely when waxed and polished. Few scratched and nicks here and there. Only rust is a few pin-holes in the trunk. Otherwise it is super solid. Way nicer than any Midwest cars you would typically find. I would say the car is above the average you would find, but not a full out show car you would be afraid to drive. Things that are New - (Most within the last 5 years and 3k miles): - Transmission Rebuilt - Carb is a New Edelbrock 4bl - Fuel Pump - Tire and Wheels - Misc Leaks have been fixed - Dash is New - Dual Cat exhaust system - Several Misc. Small things - Battery Things that are not perfect: The Dash is New and recently replaced the cracked one from the Arizona Sun. But the Radio and Speedometer have stopped working since the New Dash was installed. I had an interior shop put the dash in for me, but I think they didn't pay real good attention to details. I am sure these will be easy fixes, just needs someone with a good mechanical aptitude. They all worked fine before the dash was replaced. There is maybe 200 miles on it since the dash was put in and speedo quit. It runs like you would expect a 100k mile 305-V8 to run. Tires and wheels alone cost almost $1350 and the Mechanical work we have had done is easily $4000 plus. Thanks for looking, this is a fun solid car that you can have a lot of good times with and not spend a fortune. It is a very low investment to get into the collector car world. It's just looking for a New Home. Maybe your garage is the next place!! The car is for sale locally and we will end the auction should it sell locally. Car is sold "AS IS" and the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. I have bought and sold several vehicles on eBay and know what is involved to make it a smooth easy experience. All payments must be made and cleared before the car is picked up. So plan ahead. Cashiers Checks can take up to 10 days to clear a Bank. Wire Transfers are best, but even those can take up to 48 hours. We have a DAS terminal close by and we would be willing to deliver the car there for free. This would allow you to do a Terminal to Terminal shipment that would save you some money. I have done this before with great success.
