The car was inspectedat your home on Thursday, May 25th, at 12:30 p.m.The odometer on this Silver Gray Metallic acrylic enamel coupe shows 02240miles. The original odometer went bad at 10,075 miles and was immediatelyreplaced so it is easy to establish the total mileage on this one-ownercar as an amazingly-low 12,315.7 miles. Amenities on this show-qualityvehicle include (but are not necessarily limited to) the following items:1800cc dohc four-cylinder engine; turbocharger (specially built by PBSEngineering in Garden Grove, California at a cost of $3500); five-speedmanual gearbox; air-conditioning; Kenwood AM/FM cassette radio; Kenwood KRCamplifier; twin Pioneer speakers in the doors; twin Clarion speakers underthe dash; twin Stillwater "side-kickers" in the back s.helf; twin Cibiedriving lights; Abarth steering wheel· Vitaloni (aftermarket) electricwindows; removable sunroof; European iancia Monte Carlo headlights; twin ;extra gauges (oil temperature, exhaust temperature) mounted between theseats; Hayashi Racing 3-piece module 7" wheels and a set of Goodyear EagleVR50 tires.Mechanically~ this car is better than new. Many modificatio~s (beyond theturbocharger) have been done including the porting and relieving of thecylinder head, the addition of the power windows, and the installation ofspecial dual master cylinders for the brakes. All of this has been doneto aircraft specifications in a most professional and visually appealingmanner. Our overall rating of the mechanical condition of this car:EXCELLENT.Physically, this is a show quality vehicle. It has recently had a special$2000 paint job to replace the failing factory paint. The interior of thecar is as new, and the car would be a serious contender at any car show.Lancia built 452 Scorpions in 1977 and it is clear that this is the best(and lowest mileage) one around. With its show quality red leather upholsteryand its special turbocharger the car is well beyond the normalLancia Beta market. It is the opinion of the Classic Car Appraisal Servicethat the current retail market value of this car is not less than fifteenthousand dollars ($15,000)." Currently the vehicle is in great condition, though it sat for a number of years. The original owner passed away, his wife sold it to my uncle who developed Parkinson's Disease, then passed away and left it to me. I really don't know the history other than what I can piece together. It was a show car. I found tons of show pictures and trophies it won. I was skeptical it would even run. It would not turn over. I changed the oil, primed the carburetor, installed a new battery and it fired right up. It runs great! The transmission would not shift. It did some research and found the bushings had dry rotted. I replaced them and it shifts better but may need further maintenance. The power windows don't work and the windshield is cracked. It only needs a professional's touch to get it back to show quality. Knowing little about the car, I don't want to screw it up. I just wanted to make sure it was mechanically sound. I would say this Lancia is one of a kind! You will not find one anywhere with mileage this low. What a collector's item! Happy Bidding!!
