As is stated above, this is a NO RESERVE auction for a 1995 BMW 325is coupe. This is the higher performance version of the 325. This car has the 2.5L straight 6-cylinder engine coupled to an automatic transmission. It has 186,979 miles, but has been maintained well, and is in better shape than many cars I have seen with less mileage. I am listing this on behalf of my dad, because he does not use the internet. This car is owned by his small, used car dealership. This car has not been Maryland State Inspected, and is less than 20 years old, so it can only be sold to a non-resident of Maryland. If you are a Maryland resident, please do not bid. This car is mechanically sound. The engine runs smoothly, has good acceleration and does not smoke or make any unusual noises. The transmission shifts through all the gears normally without any slipping. The suspension feels tight and brakes are strong. All of the tires have good tread on them also. The next oil change is not due until 191k miles or 2/2014. This car is unmodified and though we do not have service records, it appears that someone took very good care of it. The tan interior of this car could use a clean-up, especially around the cup holders on the center console, but overall it is in good condition. The headliner is perfect. The leather seats are in good shape, without any tears, though there is some mild cracking on the driver’s seat. There are no cracks on the dash. All of the electronics work. This car has power seats, mirrors, sunroof and windows. The heated seats work, and the climate control can be adjusted separately for the driver and passenger. The heater pumps out hot air, and the car has A/C too. There are driver and passenger airbags. The radio works but the display does not light up. The previous owner had XM radio installed (pictured). The unit works but only static comes through, so I’m assuming that you need to buy a subscription to XM. There are no warning lights showing on the dash, except occasionally the “brake lining” light will come on. It could be a bad sensor because the brakes work well and do not make any noise, or perhaps it is getting near time to put on some new brake pads. When driving, there is a small amount of “wind noise” from the passenger’s window, indicating that the rubber seal around the window needs to be replaced. The outer door handle on the passenger’s door needs to be fixed. That door can only be opened using the interior handle. The exterior on this BMW is in average condition for the age and mileage. There are a few dings and scratches here and there, but overall, the paint is in good shape. There is some oxidation present on the rear wing, and a small amount of surface rust on the trunk lid, and inside the driver’s door. The trim pieces that line the windows also have some surface rust on them, but could easily be repainted or replaced. Even though this BMW is 18 years old, it still looks modern. Its sleek, aggressive look with the black paint and alloy wheels really catches the eye. This is a no reserve auction, so this car will go to the highest bidder. I have described the car as best as possible. I believe that this BMW is in overall above average condition for its age and mileage. That is my subjective opinion, having driven many older, high mileage cars in the past. If you have driven mostly newer cars with low mileage you might have a different opinion, so please, read the description fully, examine the supersized pictures, ask questions, and come see the car in person if you are thinking of bidding. I’m confident that it could make a long-distance trip without any trouble. I am currently using the car as a daily driver, so the mileage will be slightly higher by the end of the auction. This car is less than 20 years old, and has not been MD State Inspected, therefore it can only be sold to a non-Maryland resident.
