About Me | See my other items | Email A Friend Description of [For Sale 1969 BMW R50US Granada Red] For sale a very rare 1969 BMW R50US with Telescopic Fork Suspension in great running condition. There were estimated 401 R50US models ever produced and just a fraction in Granada Red color. It is pretty much all original, Granada Red, opposed twin cylinders machine. This bike has had recent tune up including new tires, tubes, all rubber components, fuel lines, clutch, brake and accelerator cables, etc. Bike starts readily even in very cold weather conditions (28F when the video was recorded). This motorcycle is equipped with Denfeld rider solo seat and a fender mounted Pagusa rear seat (when those bikes were ordered with dual solo seats that was the factory configuration). Bike sports Low Euro handle bars with original Hella bar end turn signals, sought after aluminum high lip rims, newer stainless steel exhaust headers work with an aftermarket exhaust that gives this bike a pleasant throaty sound. It is relatively clean bike with only 33K original miles, not perfect but a great every day runner that attracts crowd wherever it rides. Engine has great compression, clutch and brakes work well; gearbox goes through all 4 gears as it should. The front suspension works very well the bike is indeed a "plush ride" as advertised in vintage BMW brochures for the BMW US versions. Bike feels very tight, rides and handles very well. You won't find nicer, original paint and better riding R50US anywhere around. Matching frame, engine, tag and title numbers. Ride as is or restore to pristine condition. Clean and clear title in hand. Get it while it last! #FLAWS# * REAR FENDER HAS LOTS OF SCRATCHES AND DINGS FROM THE DENFELD DUAL SEAT THAT HAVE BEEN TOUCHED UP BUT NOTICEABLE. * NO SIDE STAND (NOT THAT ANYONE IS MISSING IT, IT NEVER WORKED WELL). * HORN DOES NOT WORK, I DID NOT TAKE TIME TO TROUBLESHOOT THAT ISSUE.
