This auction is for a 1984 Toyota pickup/hilux. This was originally a gasoline truck with a 22r but the previous owner swapped in a "L" model diesel motor and transmission from an earlier model truck. The swap looks and performs like its factory and the donor truck had under 150,000 miles on it so the engine has plenty of life left. The truck was re-painted flat desert tan with REAL automotive paint, not rattle caned, at the same time as the swap. Ive been driving it daily for the past 6 months or so and have averaged 31mpg in town. I have not had it on the highway so I could not tell you what HWY mpg it gets but they were rated for 29/39 city/hwy. Truck is equipped with AC and was blowing cold throughout the summer. Ive had to do nothing but put fuel in it and do regular oil changes. Truck is sold as is with no written or expressed warranty. Truck is listed for sale locally as well, and I have the right to end the auction at any time. On Nov-10-13 at 15:38:07 PST, seller added the following information: Some questions have been asked and I will answer them here. All tires are in good shape and have around half tread. Truck does not have power steering, and windows are manual. Door jambs were not painted with the rest of the truck. I do however have the paint that was given to me when I purchased the truck. I personally have put around 7-8000 miles on this truck since Ive owned it. Only reason I am selling is I cant fit two car seats in the truck.
