Vehicle Detail
I have a 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle for sell that's in pretty good shape. It's a 1600cc 4 speed manual car. The car was originally blue, but someone repainted it orange at some point in its life. The interior of the car is in really good shape and the only real flaw is a rip in the passenger seat. The dash pad is new, along with the carpet, door panels, and the headliner. The ignition switch was out when I purchased it. I replaced the key switch and lock cylinder. It's just sitting in the column because the retainer was gone when I purchased it also. The brakes, along with the emergency brake are functional. The exterior is also in decent shape as well. Although someone has repaired the front quarter and the body filler is starting to crack. There are a couple dents here and there and the paint is faded. But I waxed a couple test spots and it shined up really nicely. There are also a couple small quarter sized spots of rust, but it's surface rust and there aren't any spots of rot or holes in the body. The rear pan behind the drivers seat has been replaced at some point and the rest of the floor pan and heater channels are SOLID. There are small spots of rust on the back of the front fender wells on both the left and the right side just behind the tire. This is a typical area of rust on these cars, but these are only about the size of a dollar bill and can easily be patched. I've replaced the shifter bushing along with the shifter linkage in the back as well. Now.... I purchased the car and it was equipped with the original carb setup but it kept flooding itself out and wouldn't idle very well. I could drive it around the yard and as soon as I stopped it would die. I purchased the dual empi 34 carb conversion and started to install it and have lost interest in it. With a little work to the motor and the carb setup and tuned it should be a good running little car. I simply don't have the time or drive to finish it. If you want specific pictures of anything or have questions that aren't answered in this add feel free to message me. The car will have to be picked up and hauled home. If you want the car shipped you must arrange for pickup. I will assist in the loading of the car.The car is located in Paintsville KY and does have a clear title that's in my name.
