Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1992 Volkswagen Corrado SLC VR6. This car has been my daily driver for over a year now and has been great. I’m only getting rid of it since I need something a little bigger now to do the whole family thing… Mileage will change slightly since this is still my daily driver. This car is in really good shape for being 21 years old. It has the rare black leather interior in really nice condition – light wear on the driver seat but no holes or rips anywhere. There is a little separation at a seam on the back of the rear seat but can be easily sewn since it’s at the seam. Carpet must have been replaced not too long ago since it’s in like new condition. Active aero (mechanical spoiler) still works great. Power moon roof works with no leaks. I have done A TON of work to it since it was never my intention to get rid of it so soon but now need something that can fit a few more groceries. My loss is your gain! Below I have listed the repairs / improvements that I have done over the past year or so along with the things that still need attention. This vehicle is being sold AS-IS and there will be NO returns or refunds. Improvements / repairs; · 2.9 clone intake manifold gut (if you don’t know, google it) · 2.5” custom exhaust; stainless header, magna flow high flow cat and muffler and flow pack resonator (sounds awesome and not too loud either) · partial head rebuild / decked and pressure tested · gasket matched the head, both parts of intake manifold and header · plugs, wires, rotor, distributor and distributor cap · cv axles · fan relay · cold air intake · 6 - Polk Audio speakers with 12 gauge re-wire · PPI amp, Rockford Fosgate P2 8 inch sub, Alpine deck · Battery · slave cylinder · pads, slotted rotors, one new caliper and park brake cables · alternator · trans fluid exchange · radiator flush · head gasket, timing chain, tensioner, rails and guides · Passat gauge cluster · mild chip · water pump · serpentine belt · o2 sensor · refinished stock bbs wheels with good tires · I think thats the majority of it. Things to fix; driver side auto seat belt (has the stationary clip) · passenger side door handle not working (I have the replacement) · crack in windshield · rear wiper motor · a/c not working (still researching) · motor mount · Hood release cable · there is a small oil leak from when I did the timing chain. It’s either the rear main seal or the timing cover itself. Both are very cheap to fix yourself, just time consuming. I planned on taking care of it but with the new baby that’s easier said than done. I would rather you have all of the information you need to make an educated decision. I have committed myself to a vehicle "sight unseen" before and understand how scary it can be. This car is in great shape for a 1992 but like a 21 year old car, it is not perfect. Any imperfections are minor and characteristic of a vehicle of this age. Again, please contact me with any questions you may have. Thanks and happy bidding!! ***Extra Vehicle Information: A couple of things that I did not think to mention... The vehicle is equipped with heated seats, rear defrost, power mirrors, and cruise control but however they are not working at this time. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
