Vehicle Detail
This beautiful "Sparkle Red" Datsun 280zx has had 2 owners in it's life, with me being the second. It has a clear title, and registration. This beautiful classic is my daily driver, and is an absolute head-turner. I drive it everywhere and love every second of the classic and sporty feel you're given when you drive it. Sitting in this car is like sitting in a time machine. It transports you back to when times were simpler, and the cars much more elegant. it has right at 190000 miles on it, but that is slowly rising as it is my daily driver. I got this car as a "Steal" for 2800$ before tax and fees (Right at 3000 after). I would like that 3000 back, as the only way this car has gone, is upwards on the value scale. It is a classic, so the value is indeed rising every day. When I got it it was slightly dinged up, with only minor fixes needed. The seller before me got rid of it because he was nearing old age, and couldn't bear to get down low into this low-riding sports car. I am selling it because I need the money for dependability, and don't need this big of a toy. I've only changed belts, a fuel filter, an alternator, and a battery so far. Any other work has been done professionally. I've had it for just over 20000 miles, and had it serviced every 3000. All power options work, and the interior is in absolutely excellent condition. The exterior needs a little TLC, but is in an overall AMAZING shape. Especially after the 30-something years this car has been on the road. The engine, transmission, and chassis are all in great shape, as is all other major fixes you usually find with a car this old. This car is absolutely amazing, and astonishingly fun to drive. This is indeed the "Fairlady" that it's nickname suggests. Pros: (Besides the obvious of course) It is a liftback (hatchback) which means a lot of storage in this streamlined classic. The capacity and storage space are absolutely exceptional. 22MPG city, and 26 highway with a 21 gallon tank. (That's a 462 mile range in the city :P) Power steering, power windows, mirrors, 4wheel disc brakes, Amazing cornering, great acceleration, good transmission, good engine, fun-to-drive with a lot of get-up-and-go power, am-fm radio with cassette player (Fully functional) One of the very few built with the "Whale type" spoiler added. This is a sell for the records. Cons: Minor defects inside and out (Nothing to harm the driving experience): 2 Cracks in the dash, with a currently cracked (But replaceable) windshield, it has an exhaust leak which is a small fix. It just needs a new gasket. The hand brake is currently non-functional.( The brake line needs to be replaced) This is no problem at all unless you plan on trying to drift with the car. It is a 30-40$ part with a hour or less installation. I just put the car in gear when I turn it off, and it is all the same. It is the 2 seat model, which means room for only 2, unless you plan on smuggling someone in the back. The AC is currently not working. It would need a belt and a charge. The valves occasionally tap, which isn't a problem at all, and doesn't effect the driving experience. Also, as of yesterday the blinkers stopped working. (I believe the line for it got disconnected, because the e-lights still work just fine. If someone was to just get under the steering wheel and fix this, it would be no problem). It's not perfect, but for the price, and the rarity it could be worth 2x as much as I'm asking for it. I will arrange for shipping if needed, but the shipping price would be the buyers responsibility. I will also allow local pickup, you can drive it away if you'd like. No joy rides allowed, but I will take it on a run with you in the passenger seat upon request. Please be sure you are going to pay for this before you bid. I don't have time for games. I know what I have, and I know it's worth more than I'm selling it for, so don't try to negotiate. I can be reached at 334-272-6787 if anyone has any questions about this amazing vehicle. Thanks.
