Vehicle Detail
The good: Engine was rebuilt by professional shop. The intended outcome was to be a power train that would last till the wheels fell off. The engine was hot tanked by a local machine shop, the surfaces done, the cylinders bored over .020, new freeze plugs, old crank was ground and over sized bearings used. No New pistons, new cam (COMP Cams 20-745-9 Camshaft), new rollers, new front universals, new water pump (Gates), new Odessa Cylinder Heads (THESE HEADS COME WITH A 2.02 STAINLESS INTAKE AND A 1.625 STAINLESS EXHAUST VALVE), new timing chain, transfer case rebuilt within the last few years, new drag link and tie rods, new exhaust (although there is a leak where the Y meets up with the headers). Engine has been driven on for the past 10,000 miles and appears to be doing great. Fun truck to drive, many good times were had in this truck, and many more can be had. My wife and I found out that we are now expecting twins (yay!), but unfortunately the twins along with our toddler and dog will not fit. This was not accounted for when I planned to keep the truck till the wheels fell off. I have a build sheet and if you would like it sent to you please contact me. I will be happy to email it to you. The bad: The doors are really rusted out, they work fine, and still keep the water out, they just look bad.The ac compressor clutch has frozen, so a belt to route around it was put in.The tires will need replaced soon. On Oct-18-13 at 11:48:51 PDT, seller added the following information:*** October 18 - The problem with the exhaust leak is not at the y-pipe. There is a gasket leak between the header and cylinder head. I have a new pair of Fel-Pro gaskets for this, remind me to include it at the end of auction if not present. On Oct-23-13 at 21:15:23 PDT, seller added the following information:Forgot to mention that a Hughes Plenum plate and gasket had been installed at the time of the build. This plate is more rigid than the original intake plenum plates.
