Here is a Super Rare, One Owner and all original, 1971 VW Baywindow Bus Camper Van with, 190k original miles!! This Bus is equipped with the 4 cylinder motor, a 4 speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive. This is a Very Rare find, All Original and Only One Owner Since New, bought new in Portland, Or and garaged since day one!! Original window sticker and first service stamped at Gateway Motors VW in the Warranty&Maintenance booklet in 8-7-71!! The body and paint are very clean and the bus looks beautiful!! Originally the van was red and the original owner had it repainted to Neptun Blue some years back which was also a color offered that year. There are some very minor and superficial scratches, blemishes and rock chips in the paint/clear coat, expected for the age of the vehicle, please see pictures. The interior is in great condition! The van has an old after market Pioneer stereo and speakers, still works but is very old, please see pictures. There are no cracks in the dashboard, please see pictures. The original vinyl on the headliner is in good shape, please see pictures. The original VW windshield is in good shape, no chips and no cracks, all of the windows are original! The seats as well as the door panels are still in great shape as well, please see pictures. The original owner removed the icebox as well as the sink because he never used it and wanted more room for storage. There are a few cracks in two spots of the interior paneling. The original material on the pop top is still in good shape as well, please see pictures. We have all of the original curtains as well as a van tent made by Outdoor Venture Corp model 600 for this camper! This Bus will also come with the original owners manual, as well as the original warranty&maintenance booklet, the original window sticker and all original keys! The original owner kept every receipt&record since day one, we have a thick folder with all of the paper work for this Bus, most of which is from the VW dealer, please see pictures!! The motor was completely rebuilt at 157k miles and a brand new carburator was installed at that time, the motor starts instantly and purrs. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts good!! This Bus has been well maintained and always serviced on time. The tires are matching and still in good shape, Michelin MXT Radial X, 205/70R14, all mounted on factory steel wheels and hub caps which the original owner had painted some years back. The spare tire has never been on the ground! This VW Bus runs and drives great with only 190K original miles!!
