Here we have the 1987 Saab 900 - the 'Classic' as it as come to be called. This is the first model year of the convertible in red, from when SAAB still built solidly engineered vehicles prior to the sale of the company. Mileage 153,899.I have owned this vehicle for 5 years and it has NEVER let me down. Starts the first time, every time, hot or cold. Clear title.If you've ever owned one of these cars, you understand why they're called the 'Classic'. They perform great and parts are readily available at reasonable cost if you have any issue.Body is straight with no rust. Rear vehicle image/sun makes it look like paint is missing - its not! Normal wear and tear for a 26 year old vehicle.Front Wheel Drive - drives great in any weather - these vehicles were built for the road.Recent tuneup and oil change. Automatic transmission. 16-Valve turbo engine. Power steering. Power windows. New brakes and new exhaust!Cons: Front interior seats have tears (rear seat fine). Convertible top switch stopped working this summer (used it alot with the great weather), but convertible top can still be manually opened/closed by hand without issue. Rear of convertible top underneath glass has a tear, which currently has a patch on it (the part with the tear can be unzipped from the rest of the top and replaced with parts readily available online). Front windshield has had cracks since I bought it. Does not affect driveability and have not cracked further in the 5 years I've owned the vehicle. NOTE: all parts for this car, including the switch and rear convertible cloth, are readily available on eBay and through automotive stores at reasonable cost. Local pick-up only.
