Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1976 Porsche 911, this car is fully transformed to a 930 turbo in 1991. Body is believed to be from a 1987 911 turbo, engine from 1978 930 with matching 4 speed transmission, speedometer has been replaced on December 1995 at 45,73. Since then, it's been driven only 5,835 miles. Car was always stored in a garage, body is in almost excellent shape other then minor cosmetic flaws. (some paint chips, very few and some minor scrape on left quarter panel), rims and tires are in great shape, car runs and drives great, starts every time, minor oil leak, the only time it smokes is when you first start it, and lasts couple seconds. Previous owner removed a/c compressor but seems like all the connections are there. ( that is my opinion, maybe couple missing). Seats are manual in great shape, only right rear seat back has some tears from touching after market speakers. It has after market stereo system but the wiring needs some attention, only driver side speaker works. Convertible top rear plastic glass is needs to be replaced, there is no rips nor leaking water but it is hard to see thru it. Water gets in from both windows where they meet the convertible top, either windows needs to be adjusted or window seals needs to be replaced. Cloth part of convertible top is in very good condition. I have almost $60,000 worth of receipts from 1991 just for transformation and some additional maintenance, 1978 3.3l turbo engine is not included in those receipts, Probably engine and transmission alone worth $12-$15,000. Again I don't have receipt for the engine. Engine serial number is *6780218*. Clock works only when you drive, I don't know why, headlights only shows high beam, my opinion is the switch problem. There was a roll bar when I bought it but it was difficult to get in and out so I had it removed. Carpets are in good shape but missing some pieces. I don't have the spare tire and the jack, left rear tail light has small crack where screw goes (minor). Please do not expect brand new car, but looks and runs very good. Brakes feels little spongy, master cylinder might need to be rebuilt, still stops but definitely needs some attention. This car gets attention where ever I go to. Please bid if you are serious about buying it, I am serious seller. You are very welcome to inspect it only before the auction ends. TITLE IS CLEAR AND UNDER MY NAME. I tried to describe the car in a honest way, if I remember anything else good or bad I'll add it to my listing before it ends, also if you have any questions or need additional photo's please do not hesitate to ask. You are buying a used car so please understand that it does not come with warranty, you are buying as-is. Mileage might be slightly different due to pleasure driving. This is NO RESERVE Auction, please bid accordingly. VIN # of the car is 9116301401On Oct-19-13 at 08:30:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi, I went through some of the receipts here what I found. Exact description For the body conversion. ( full cabriolet conversion from coupe + full restoration + completion of basket case, body shell. Full coach reconstruction included, roof removal, shell w/s frame modification, reconstructed inner tub in sheet steel, fabricate and restructure tub w/tube chassis, install and fit rr brake ducts and box rockers. On the original description I wrote body believed to come from 1987 930, but according to the receipt it maybe the original body used to make this conversion. I just found out this detail, I don't even know if it's important or not, just wanted to share with interested buyers. Also please stop making offers for the car, as I said before highest bid is my selling price. Thanks
