It's been in the Bay area all its life. There has been no collision damage or panel replacemet ever. Only one repaint in the original "brown poly" color. The chrome trim and bumpers are original, and they look nice; there have some nicks and scratches. The original owner used it for towing his motorcycle trailer, and it's never had anything other that a tool box and some gas cans in the bed. The interior is mostly original with the exception of the seat, which was recovered in vinyl instead of the factory cloth, and the dash pad, which now has one of the plastic dash caps installed. The original headliner had come apart at the seams, and it had been stiched back together. The dash gauges and all the lights are in working condition. The A/C does work and blow cold, however the fan switch seems to be stuck on "high". I'm working on getting it repaired. The 350 4-brl engine is smooth and responsive with 128K well maintained miles. The TH 350 trans has an RV style shift kit. The ride and handling for the '73-77 models is much improved over the earlier El Caminos, although the horsepower figures are down somewhat. Nothing says 70's like the American Vector mags, which were installed shortly after the car was purchased. It's passed it's California emissions test, and I've just paid the DMV fees due to bring the registration current again.
