1980 Fiat Spider 124 Carburetor (rebuilt). Gas tank cleaned & re dipped by professionals. Rebuilt radiator. New spark plug wires, points, rodes & condenser. I do have front bumper. I bought a brand new battery for it but havnt used it, however its not been in use, it might need a jump or recharge. We spent over $800 on top of buying this car-went to start it but seems low compression in number 1 cylinder. Mechanic said could be due to rings sticking from sitting too long. It did run but not on all 4 cylinders because of it. In any case, they say its an easy rebuilt fix on the motor. My son test drove it and said it slips out of drive to 3rd-maybe because it doesnt reach max speed due to low compression on that cylinder. Person I bought it from said it worked fine before he sold it to me. He also put a new oil pump in it. I can't fix it-wish I had the time but I'm too slow and not knowledgeable enough. Tried to have someone who's familiar with these vehicles to work on it, but he claims he's too busy. I'm frustrated and just want to let it go. I will add to the notes how many miles are on the engine. I do have another one in storage with 60k on engine (elec ignition). I gave a guy $700 for down payment to give it a fresh paint, he sanded it down and was almost ready to mask & paint it, but they arrested him and deported him (I loss that money), had no idea he was illegal.
