At the time of build, I used my 1991 Dodge Dakota sub frame, running gear and engine with 80,000 well maintained miles. The Dakota was my dependable daily driver until I decided to build the '48. It has a Dakota wiring harness and connection for OBD diagnostics. It has no AC, a new small electric heater box. It has fiberglass fenders and running boards. On the new build, I used a new computer, new alternator, new rotors, new brakes, new calipers and new wheel seals, new fuel pump, new bearings and fluids. New fluids in the transmission. It has power rack and pinion steering and front disc brakes, drums on the back. It drives straight and true. It has never been in an accident. It has never been driven in the rain. It has always been in a dry heated garage. It has been dependable and has a free and clear title. I am the only owner and driver.
