Vehicle Detail
This is a VINTAGE CLASSIC - A GORGEOUS RARE Alfa Romeo is in super nice original condition. 47 years old ! This car comes with the Italian "ASI" (Automotoclub Storico Italiano" that certifies it's originality regarding mechanics, color, etc. Also have a registration document from Italy w/ dates in the 1970's. The color combination is striking in it's original blue (like a French blue) on a red interior (more like a softer red). I spent about $1,300 rebuilding the front and rear seats from the inner to outer material and it came out great. I also added rear seat belts and replaced the front seat belt webbing material yet left the original hardware. Original headliner in and door panels. The speedometer gauge is so cool and retro, this being the last year before they switched to the typical round gauges . Take a look at that gorgeous front grill ! The car is pretty quick for a 1300 and is great fun to drive with it's twin overhead cam engine and butter smooth 5 speed gearbox. Most of these early Giulia models have been messed with 1750 or 2000 engines, yet this is a SURVIVOR and only a few mph slower than the 1600 version. Solid Car. Only shows some mild surface color.. the few bubble in paint have been the same (no changes) for many years. Speedo, tach, lights, horn all work, ready to go. The car was in running condition prior to the work I did and now she is in superb performing condition. Replace Rear Shocks Rebuild Front Suspension Replace Transmission Mount Replace Center Muffler Remove Trans and Reseal Replace Front Crankseal Replace Door Seals Replace Center Support and Flex Disc Remove Carb and Rebuild complete Replace Generator and Replace Voltage Regulator New Battery New Vredestein Tires (not cheap - wanted to as closely match tread pattern to vintage) In total I spent just over $6,500 to make this a better car, so my investment into this car has been over $20,000. I was going to strip and repaint, yet I stopped here for it is beautiful as is, admired more than you can believe and is such a wonderful conversation piece and an outstanding driver... very enjoyable. Also, I decided on all my cars (60 past 15 years) to preserve in original vs restore paint... Take a look at the other Guilia on ebay for nearly $ TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS W/ exchanged engine. Last Guilia same model was also on ebay for well over $20k. I am selling my collection so take advantage. Art, Cars, Motorcycles are going here first. Tend to sell before auction ends.. just like Ferrari and Gilera just this week. And others already making offers on this gem... Other than seeing another 1 or 2 in the shop with a lot of restoration work to do, have yet to see another one on the street and Los Angeles is a big city... so this is quite a RARE find for an admirer of Alfa Romeos. This is sought after overseas for much higher pricing too. I hate to say what most others say... that this is a car that will go up further in value over the years.. yet the prospect of this car doing just that seems quite likely... Clear title in my name and CA current registration. I have various other cars of mine that I am listing this week, from concourse winning Ferrari, Artist owned Rolls, outstanding Eldorado and Maserati TC, plus a few outstanding vintage Italian motorcycles... as I am thinning out my collection at this time, so please enjoy. best of luck. I have another nice pic or two of a nice blonde in the car from a photo shoot done for my company. also a great marketing car if it works for you !! This car has also been rented by film studios !
