1979 Ford Thunderbird - I recently bought this car from the original owner's estate. It has a 351M engine and automatic transmission. The car's original owner put just under 56,000 miles on it since purchased on 8-16-1979 from Doan Ford in Belmont, Ohio. The car has factory T-Tops. It was kept in a barn since new, but not the best storage. The paint on the car has spots in it from either something being sprayed on it or possibly bird or pigeon droppings. The car was cleaned and hand waxed and the spots did not come out. However, I did not try to use rubbing compound, so they may buff out. There is very, very minimal surface rust on a few areas of the body. There are some dings on the body. The interior is decent with some minor wear and cracking on the driver's seat and a crack in the drivers door panel. The rest of the interior is nice. The undercarriage appears to be very solid. The car runs and drives okay, but could use a tune up. The car has new radial tires. Everything on the car works except the fuel gauge. The chrome on the rear corners of the rear bumper peeled off, so I touched it up with silver paint so it would not rust. The drivers front wheel molding is scraped and the drivers front bumper rubber strip is torn on the corner. I have tried to describe all defects with the car and have included photos of the defects. It is not a show car but could be a great driver with a little elbow grease.
