1947 FORD CABOVER COE TOW TRUCK STREET ROD! '47 Ford COE cabover tow truck custom, and titled as a 1947 Ford! VERY cool truck that draws tons of attention wherever it goes! Sitting on a 1987 Ford 1 ton chassis with 4 wheel disc brakes. Cab extended 8 inches for more room inside. Dodge 360 engine and Torqueflight trans. Has been in private service since built and has seen lots of miles, but still runs good. Power steering and brakes. So much custom work done. Reworked grille opening with modified 1947 Ford grille. Custom fabricated bed. Dual 18 gallon gas tanks. Custom wood dash, electric wiper, working chrome exhaust stacks. Clean, comfortable interior. This is NOT a show truck or anywhere near. Has been built for about 10 years and has been driven as a working tow truck all over Southern California. There is some bubbling above the windshield, but nothing serious. Tow mechanism works well. It has it's share of scratches, cracks and a few primer spots, but that just adds to it's character. It could use a facelift, or use and enjoy as it was meant to be used. No gas gauge or speedo, but has temp, volt and oil pressure gauges. On board air compressor and tank with 50 foot hose. Custom pinstriping on outside and dash. It is not detailed out as it is a work truck! Yellow and grey paint. Would also be fun as a Harley hauler without the tow equipment.
