Up For AuctionA Fabulous 1971 Porche Targa 914The Vin # 4712905309This car is a daily driver, I personally drove this car from Roanoke, Virginia to Baltimore, Maryland. This car could be driven to its new home. California car (I still have the plates from the previous owner)The car is a 1971 and it's not perfect but it is in really nice condition.Repainted black in 2002 Exterior underside, engine compartment, body, trunk, hood are in good condition. All rubber seals have been replaced except for the front wing windows. The new seals are included with car but not installed. Interior seats and floor mats are in excellent condition. The dash has a dash pad since there is some cracking. Tires are in good condition with minimal wear. The engine was rebuilt by a professional shop in California. The engine is a 2.2 liter with dual weber carburetors. The transmission is a 5 speed The brakes are in excellent condition. The carpet kit was installed recentlyThe overall look of the car is greatAlthough it does have a dimple below the drivers side sail and few paint scratches. The windshield a small stone chip on the passengers sideOver the years I kept this car in good condition. While recently driving the car I was not pleased with the way it was shifting. I had the shifting problem fixed and oil changed to the tune of 868.00. The transmission linkage was rebuilt and shifts properly.I tried to give a true representation of the cars appearance and mechanics.I'd rather you'd be happy with car than be disappointed. Hopefully the photos will depict the cars condition. I bought this car from eBay and rarely drove the car,it was kept in a garage.Below I have copied the original listing from when I bought the car in Nov. 2009Thanks for viewing. Any questions will answered by contacting Dale at 410-361-1325. This was the original listingThis auction is for a very nice 1971 Porsche 914 2.2L Roadster. This 914 was family owned 1st by my uncle and then the nephew form the time it was purchased new. I am the 3rd owner and it was purchased by me in 1999 in Pico Rivera A suburb of Los Angelas Ca. I have since brought it with me to Tenn. where I have lived for the past 5 yrs. This is a well maintained 914. It has been garage kept and covered during my ownership. It has a brand new rebuilt engine that displaces 2.2L. It was rebuilt when the car had 96,630 miles on it. The transmission shifts tight and perfectly. These are the improvements I have made.*I had the engine rebuilt with a big bore kit that displaces 2.2L, in Paraamount CA at Rogers European. *The clutch, throw out bearing, clutch cable were replaced.*The brake master cylinder, brake lines and brake pads were replaced.*The fuel lines, fuel pump, distributor cap, plugs, plug wires, condenser, and points were replaced.*The car was painted in Downey CA in 2002*Alot of rubber has been replaced *The car has an upgraded European package that includes the air dam, fog lights, and all lenses*The carpet kit is new.
