1950 Willys Overland Jeepster VJ-3 This Jeepster, 2-Door phaeton style convertible is powered by a 4-cylinder engine, and manual shift transmission. It fires right up and is always a fun ride! This 1950 Willys Overland Jeepster is a nice, unique, and fun car; with The engine and transmission appearing to be period correct. The paint and body show very well. The chrome bumpers front and rear are looking like new. All remaining chrome and bright work looks good. The interior is nice, with fairly new carpets and new black seat covers. As you can see in the photos, even the tires are relatively new. The dash, gauges and other instruments appear very nice, and intact. A nice and rare example of the Willys Overland Jeepster, with no major mechanical issues that we have noticed. The odometer shows 95,633 and given it's overall nice condition, that mileage is believed to be correct. The Jeepsters are durable, and fun to drive & own; this one has an excellent convertible top, for those trips to the beach with no worries. Side curtains are also included. This, the final year of the Jeepster, saw a redesigned front end with a V-shaped grille, horizontal chrome trim, and a different style dashboard than previous years. The Jeepster had a very scarce and limited production, only being produced by Willys-Overland Motors from April 1948 to 1950. It was the last true phaeton style vehicle produced by a major automaker. Collectors know that these early military/utility vehicles have been steadily increasing in value.
