Vehicle Detail

What you see here is a very rare Triumph factory sand racer. The number on the block and frame match. It has a single cradle frame. The engine is a unit construction. Twin carburetor. Single flat seat. Low pipes. CONCAVE HEADLIGHT. VERY RARE. This bike actually sat in a barn for 35 years! I bought it to rescue it because I didn't want such a rare bike to go to waste. It has only 1150 original miles. As of right now, the motor does indeed turn by hand. I took the heads off and soaked the pistons in oil and freed up the engine. The rings has a pinch of rust in them. The crankcase was still full of oil when I found it. I pulled off an inspection plug and wiped some grease off a gear. Shiny as silver. The tranny and clutch work properly. The motor will need bored out most likely. If not, a good honing. The carbs are the Amal Monobloc style and obviously need rebuilt. The heads will need a valve job from sitting so long. The forks arent great either. However, both the tack and speedo still work. This is a very rare, very restorable race bike. Here's the issue (there's always an issue, isnt there?) The original title was mailed out to be notarized by a Pennsylvania notary from the original owner. The title disappeared and we can't get a hold of the original owner. We have photocopies of the original title but unfortuanly we don't have the original title at this time. If you plan on bidding be aware you may not get the title. But keep in touch because we may actually get it back if we're lucky. If you have any questions let me know. I will be glad to answer them to the best of my ability. On Sep-17-13 at 20:21:24 PDT, seller added the following information: What you see here is a rare Triumph factory dirt racer/enduro. TAKE NOTE: I am still working out the title issues and I should be able to get a title for it. However, the odds of retrieving the original title are slim.
