1965 one of the very first CL77 305's produced. This is # 1596 of the original production run. 1965 was the first year for 305 scramblers. The first one's did not have mufflers but came with "snuff-r-nots" to quit them down. Even has the original seat, no rips or tears, just that little cigar burn Bob showed me. This bike was owned by an 84 year old man on Kelly's Island in Lake Erie and has only 7600 original miles on it. Bob is 89 now and very active, I spoke with him in July. He is thrilled his buddy is back on the road. He rode it last at age 82. All new from tires up, chrome redone, even exhaust pipes and coated inside too so they won't turn blue, rims and spokes, aluminum polished, base coat paint, original silver, even the original flat ended clutch and brake lever still have the plastic on them. Still has the tool kit as well as the original owner manual. This guy Bob didn't loose anything. If you could order a new 305 Scrambler in 1964........then it just arrived so come pick it up. Unfortunately they were $ 795.00 then but not now. The pictures show the detail and I know the nice ones sell for $ 5500.00 on eBay but this one is a little higher priced because it will go up against anybody's. IT IS LIKE NEW. Ask for more pictures or a short video of a ride. Shown once got a trophy! Talk about a head turner......this get tons of looks. I do this as stress release so it isn't my first project.....done plenty over the last 35 years and know what needs done. Bring your fine tooth comb and magnifying glass to look it over.
