Vehicle Detail
This 2000 is a nice car that gets great gas mileage of course because of the design of the car. It is made of aluminum, weighs only 2000 pounds and has very low wind drag. That is 1000 pounds less than the new style insight and almost 2000 pounds than the Toyota Prius. Amazing! The tires are in great condition and are the recommended Bridgestone Potenza tires. The a/c is cold. It has 176,000 miles which is below average miles for a 13 year old car. It has August 2014 registration, has a clean title, clean CarFax with no accidents and NEVER has to be smogged!! These cars last well into the 400,000 miles mark and will also go up in value because they are pretty rare. Honda did not build many of them and they cost $30,000 to build yet Honda only sold them for $19,000 new. They just wanted the technology to be out there. This model of Honda Insight is still to this day the absolute king of mpg of all hybrids. Even today in 2013 no Prius or other hybrid car can beat it. Here is the proof: http://www.motherearthnews.com/green-transportation/miles-per-gallon-cars-zb0z11zblon.aspx For this price you can buy a Nissan Sentra, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla or even a Ford Focus but you only get 30 miles per gallon tops in all of those cars. So why pay almost $6,000 for those cars when you can buy this one and get 60 miles per gallon? Even if you turn off the hybrid battery this car will still get 40 miles per gallon. This color of Citrus is also very rare as Honda only painted 500 cars this color out of 17,000 worldwide. I am a small car dealer here in Southern California and specialize in these Honda Insights and also Volvo 240's oddly enough. I've owned many Insights and this car has the highest lifetime mpg at 54 than any other I've owned. I've acheived 69 miles per gallon in this car on a trip to San Francisco. Also, if you live in California you will have to pay salestax. Please email me with any questions. And lastly, the IMA battery is fine, charges as it should and assist works and autostop all work. There are no dash lights or warning lights of any kind. This is also a non smokers car.
