I have a TR4A chassis for sale it is a 1965 IRS . It comes with the original motor and trans as well as the rear IRS. The car has not been on the road in probably 20 years. The motor does turn over and the trans shifts thru the gears and the chassis will roll and has knock off wire wheels,front rack and pinion w/ column and complete front suspension. I bought the chassis for a future TR4 build but I'm too deep into a TR3 rebuild to think that would happen anytime soon.The person who stripped the car was building some kind of competition car and changed a few things that will have to be repaired. The motor was setback approx 10 inches and of course the drive shaft was shortened and a 3 tube bumper was welded on to the rear of the frame and the shifter was cut down. Also the exhaust manifold is junk.There is no state paper work with the chassis only a bill of sale and a Heritage Trust copy of the Factory Record that I will include,there is a pic of the document. This would be great to re-frame your TR4 or build a IRS TR4A . The frame does have surface rust but I have not seen any rust-thru. I would say you will have to go thru everything on this chassis ,but it looks like a good one to start with. I pulled the head to see what it looks like on the inside, it was clean and looks like it did have some earlier work on it,the pistons are stamped std. This unit is not ready to drive down the road but could be some day soon. What you see in the pics is what you get, no warranty.
