I bought this car to restore it but while adjusting the valves my condo association told me i'd face a $350 fine for each additional repair. Because I bought her to restore it I feel like it's better to pass her on to someone with a garage and tools and no nazi condo association. This car is a great winter restoration project, which was my plan. Like a lot of Alfas, this one has oil leaks from the oil vapor separator hose and dipstick return (from the oil vapor separator) hose. I think the dipstick holder needs to be replaced. I replaced the hoses but I think I used the wrong size/quality as the oil leaks returned after a week or so. This is the first fuel injected alfa spider. The mechanical fuel injection was rebuilt by the previous owner and works well. There is a fuel pressure regulator and the idle does need to be adjusted as it seems like it gives the engine too much gas when starting. Can cruise along at 90MPH on the freeway no problem. I drive it on the weekends on Pacific Coast Highway and always get looks and compliments. Lots of car for the money and I think these are appreciating in value as are the Datsun Roadsters and MGs. Steering and handling is amazing. Car is super fun to drive around.
