1970 Cadillac Superior Ambulance Hearse Drive it home for Halloween! Take it tailgating! Kids at heart will ask you to run the lights, both sirens & PA, and they all work! Remove the top light and stretcher quickly and easily to switch between ambulance and Halloween rides. This Cadillac has made the rounds in Houston for nights out, parades, parties, and football games since I bought it in 2008 in Indiana and drove it home. She has not been flooded, although I did drive her home from work during Hurricane Ike because she’s so indestructible. She has not been totaled or towed. The last owner told me she worked in Ohio as an ambulance for 20 years and as a coroner's car for 10 years. Everything ambulance and hearse related is original, complete, and works. The interior is complete down to the original door panels, all chrome and stainless steel trim, sliding partition windows, jump seats, and stretcher. She gets a lot of enthusiastic attention and loves photo ops. The engine runs strong without knocking or burning oil. For cold morning starts I use a spray of starting fluid, otherwise she starts right up. The A/C front and back units both blow but not very cold. The compressor engages and runs quiet, and the expansion valves frost up. She has been kept dry and inside. There are hard to see rust bubbles. Keep this 43 year-old car inside unless you want to see these bubbles grow and multiply. The tires have less than 1000 miles. The spare is OLD but usable. The glass is perfect. For conversion from ambulance to Halloween ride, the top light detaches, the stretcher unlocks and its legs extend to roll it out, and the chrome rollers flip. We used the stretcher once when a tailgator fell off the cooler he was standing on. It works. The handy coffin stop bracket is also included. I have not used it. The car is complete, assembled, and as far as I can tell needs nothing but gas to drive it home. This car is an impressive sight and a fun ride. Thanks for looking.
