1969 Subaru Star 360 Sambar A classic Microcar I have an antiquity company in the middle of Texas. We specialize in fine antiques and collectibles. Once in a while my customers turn in a classic automobile or motorcycle. This is one of those items: This very rare collector’s Subaru came from a Rancher in Blanco, Texas. The Subaru comes with a 2 cylinder engine and 4 speed transmission. It also comes with a side ramp.It has been sitting for a long time. The Chassis No. K153L-3650 The Engine No. EK32-767252 The Subaru 1969 Star 360 Sambar is considered to be a Microcar. It was once of the smallest cars to attract a significant following. A number of innovative features were used to design a very small and inexpensive car to address government plans to produce a small “people’s car” with an engine no larger than 360 cc when most in Japan could not afford a car. This Subaru was nicknamed the “ladybug” in Japan. The Subaru comes with many extra parts and makes a fantastic restoration project as the engine turns. The Subaru will be sold with a notarized bill of sale from our company. We can deliver to a short distance in Texas for a reasonable fee. All the inspections must be done before the auction closes.
